An outdated data centre with end-of-life hardware required a comprehensive modernisation initiative to enhance efficiency and performance.
We executed a seamless migration process by utilising Dell servers, VMware ESXi Hypervisor, and vCenter controller. This involved setting up the new infrastructure alongside the legacy equipment, deploying ESXi and vCenter on the latest hardware, transferring existing VMs from the old environment to the new one, configuring the networking settings, transitioning the new system online, and successfully switching over from the old production setup to the latest production environment.
The client experienced enhanced stability and minimised attack vulnerabilities through the implementation of updated software, resulting in an overall improved security posture. Additionally, the upgrade to advanced servers and switching hardware led to decreased latency, optimising system performance and responsiveness.
A prominent global manufacturer, facing challenges with the efficiency of its widely distributed manufacturing facilities due to an outdated data centre, sought a data centre refresh. The seamless transition from its current data centre to a new VMware on the Nutanix platform was identified as a critical priority to enhance operational capabilities across its global network of plants.
Aspire implemented ESXi hypervisor clusters, VMware vCenter, and the Nutanix AOS Acropolis Operating System, incorporating hardware alerting and remote console access. Additionally, remote management was established at both primary and disaster recovery sites, comprehensive environment documentation was provided to facilitate deployment, replication was configured, and distributed storage and encryption were set up to ensure a robust and secure infrastructure.
The client successfully migrated all existing virtual machines and infrastructure to the new Nutanix platform within a swift 3-week. The deployment led to a remarkable surge in employee productivity and satisfaction and substantially reduced operational costs and complexities, paving the way for a streamlined and efficient workflow. Our client requires the capability to capture snapshots of application databases and store them securely and efficiently while reducing recovery times within their current NetApp SAN infrastructure.
We seamlessly integrated NetApp SnapManager with their existing NetApp SAN infrastructure to meet our client's needs and imported over 50 application databases into the system. To ensure data protection and integrity, automated database snapshot policies were configured within SnapManager to enable regular snapshots of the databases. Extensive testing was conducted on the database snapshot restore functionality to verify the seamless recovery process, assuring the client that their applications could swiftly recover from potential disruptions.

Considering the client's substantial on-premises network infrastructure with a mix of cloud services, we integrated VMware NSX-T to implement effective east-west micro-segmentation. This decision enhances network security and optimizes overall network performance. Moreover, we meticulously configured a suite of cutting-edge tools to fulfil the Automation Orchestration pillar requirements, including Microsoft Sentinel, Ansible, Elastic, Gigamon, and Microsoft Defender.
